Dr. André-Jacques Auberton-Hervé co-founded Soitec a CAC 60 company with Jean-Michel Lamure in 1992. Serving for 23 years as President and CEO, he was responsible for overseeing the company’s strategic, operational and financial activities. He built an international high-tech group operating in 10 countries, with 5 manufacturing facilities in Europe, Asia and the US. He took his group public in Paris in 1999, managing financial transactions totaling close to $1bn. Soitec is an Economy 4.0 leader, and its products are among the key enabling technologies.

He now serves as Chairman Emeritus of Soitec, a unique example of a European > $ 5bn market cap company in the semiconductor industry founded from scratch by two engineers out of a national lab in the last 30 years. He has also managed or currently advises several investment funds. In July 2013, he was elected Chairman of the SEMI International Board of Directors.

Among numerous prizes, he has received the Audacity in Creativity Award from French President Jacques Chirac and the INSEAD entrepreneurship prize.

He is the author of the book “De l’audace” translated into English as “Eurodacity,” demonstrating the disruptive entry into the Economy 4.0 where Europe has a clear opportunity. He received the best publication award from HR association RH&M in Paris in 2016.
